tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27, 1976) was a former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is regarded as to be one of the most talented tight ends ever and is currently the most successful NFL tight end when it comes to receiving yards and receptions by tight ends. Gonzalez is also ranked third in receptions total. Gonzalez began his 12 seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, who selected him in the first round of the 1997 NFL Draft. For the last five years the team was part of the Atlanta Falcons. Gonzalez, who quit in 2013, has been the analyst of NFL on Prime Video. Prior to that, he worked for CBS Sports, Fox Sports and Fox Sports. Gonzalez also was awarded six All-Pros. Gonzalez is known for his endurance and uncommon errors. He was a regular in 272 games during the regular season, and only lost two fumbles on 1,327 touches. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Gonzalez was inducted in the year 2019.
